Metafore ed ermeneutica per la schizofrenia
La "impotenza ermeneutica"
Metaphors and hermeneutic in schizophrenia The "hermeneutic impotence"
Metaphoric expressions (crisis of common sense, loss of natural evidence, autism)
have been widely used to indicate deep and fundamental psychic disturbances
in schizophrenia. Metaphors are useful and important where something cannot
be directly expressed. We also propose "hermeneutic impotence" meaning
the impossibility an interpretation of the environment and consequently to organise
an experience and a behaviour. Giving a sense and a meaning to the world can
be a basic instinctive function in nature. The role of certain palaeocortical
brain structures, i.e., limbic lobe, should also be considered under this viewpoint.
Theoretical research in psychiatry should pay more attention to theoretical
psychopathology.
