Fluoxetine and Premenstrual Depressive Syndrome
The present review is concerning the literature about tje Premenstrual Syndrome,
with special regard to its treatment with Fluoxetine, a Selective Serotonine
Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI).
The analysed studies, carried out between 1990 and 1998, all agree in considering
Fluoxetine effective in treatment of this disturb, which is severely affecting
part of the female population. The correct diagnosis is, once again, the first
step to obtain positive theraphy results.
