The different aspects of Ego-Identity (sex-identity, gender identity, and personal identity) are reviewed in the present paper.
The peculiar conditions are emphasized, and dynamic origin and structure are examined. The inner experiences referring to the cathegories of space and container are studied.
Some clinical and therapeutic consequences in transexualism are discussed, and some discussions of homosexuality are envisaged.
