Una famiglia particolare
A peculiar family

A case of shared delusional disorder is described. The members of a family, mother and sons, believing that the Red Brigades occupied the whole world and were torturing individuals, remained isolated in their house in poor sociohygienic conditions. Being forcibly hospitalised, after two years of treatment accepted to participate to a social rehabilitation program. Treatment of the family members with olanzapine induced reduction of delusional behaviour and after five years, the family is based in a new house and no further hospitalisations were required.
