Psychopathology of epilepsy: the peri-ictal state
Epilepsy is characterized by a higher prevalence of psychopathology compared to the general population. Ictal and peri-ictal phenomena might be in differential diagnosis with primary psychiatric disorders or epilepsy related-psychopathology. This paper focuses on characteristics, diagnosis, prognosis and therapy of peri-ictal psychopathology of epilepsy.
