Sexual abuse and development of psychiatric disorders
Sexual abuse represents an event which involves an alteration of psychic stability of the subject who suffered this form of mistreatment. It interferes with the psychological development of the subject and creates the basis for the development of different psychopathological clinical expressions. Sexual abuse extends its negative effects also to the future generations; hence, it is very important to have enough information about its psychopathological consequences.
